Good Evening Classmates,
This is my first blog ever so forgive me if I'm a little off! The purpose of this blog is to give you a glimpse into a week in my life. It is also serving as a personal journal for me. Let me give you a little background into the reason for my title. I love my job. I teach third graders and I feel like my week is partially consumed by WORK. I cannot just blog about work because that is not only what makes me-me. I also have my LIFE, moreover, my personal life. Aside from my large Italian family, my life also consists of my husband, Bob and seventeen month old son, Gavin. Gavin keeps me incredibly busy, but happier than I can express in words. Bob and I cannot believe how he changes so much from day to day. Lastly, HOPE. As I mentioned in my profile, my sister is awaiting the results of an MRI this week. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor in January. She is not only my sister and my best friend, she is my co-worker. She teaches ESL in the school where I teach as well. She is on her way tomorrow to the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Research Center at Duke University for feedback from the treatment they've prescribed for her here in New Jersey. Their motto is, At Duke....there is HOPE. I will try to touch on each of these points in my blog all week. If I can ask anything of all of you, it is that you send some good luck and hope our way. Thank you!
Hi Gina, This is new to me also, I think I sent an email to you by mistake and I was suppose to comment in your blog instead, Oh well you get 2 messages instead. Darling baby, my son loved Mickey Mouse when he was little. Sorry to hear about your sister, but I will too have hope and wish her well. You seem like a great sister and I think she is lucky to have you and baby Gavin. Continue to blog I think your blog site might be good for the sole.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jacqueline. I'm glad I'm not the only novice. Thank you for your good wishes as well. The more positive energy the better. It is I that is lucky to have her, that is why I'm rallying all the troops I can! Have a great night! I'm glad you posted, it lets me know I did something right! Now I need to figure out how to add multimedia!
ReplyDeleteWow, Gina. I am certainly sending prayers and well-wishes your way.
ReplyDeleteI think you will find blogging to be very therapeutic. I certainly do. If I am going through something, I write. I began my blog when I was unemployed. It was a nice release. If I am in need of well-wishes and prayers, my audience knows it. Its feels nice to have support both near and far. Please keep us updated on your sister.
Hi Jacqueline,
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting early because you gave me the help I needed to make my blog, which is now up and running! I never like being the first to post, so I'm glad you did! :) Thanks for sharing about you and your family. Prayers will be given that everything is ok.
I like the design of your site, but adding more color could spruce it up a bit! Besides that, everything looks great. Keep up the good work.
Gina
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your blog site.
My prayers are with you and your sister.
I am so new to this blogging business so my comments need to have more knowledge behind them to be considered. Perhaps a few more pictures.
Thank you for sharing your family with us. You seem to be a great person.
Hi Gina,
ReplyDeleteI now fully understand the title of your blog. I am so sorry for this bad news. I am also new to blogging but it does seem interesting. I will say a pray for your sister/co-worker. This time must be hard for you. Are able to go with her or you are staying home? I know it is hard with the new baby and your sister's diagnoses. I wish you the best of luck with your situation.
Hi Tierra,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments and good wishes. I am finding this therapeutic. I promise to keep everyone updated. Thanks for caring,
Jon,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement and support. I definitely need to add a little something to this page to liven it up. I should have titled this A Work in Progress! I hope to get where I want to be by Sunday!
Thanks again!
Candice trust me, comment away. I will take everything as constructive criticism! More pictures are on the way! Thank you for the compliment.
ReplyDeleteShantay,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the prayers, every one helps. I am not able to go with her, however her husband and two children made the trip with her. She has a seven year old daughter and a six year old son. They were so excited to be going to Duke! My other sister lives in Florida so she drove up to meet them there. I will stay home to keep tabs on my parents! I will do that by letting them cook me dinner tomorrow as we wait for the results. Hey,I do what I can! Thanks again!

ReplyDeleteGina,
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean to delete the other post, so here we go again. Great job on your blog! The music adds a nice touch, and I really like how you arranged your pictures. You would never guess this is your first blog! I look forward to reading your other posts. Thanks for sharing.
Please keep us posted on your sister! Your son is so cute, my little nieces love everything Minnie Mouse. We always end up in the Disney store when we go to the mall, go figure.
Hi Tracie,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. I am glad you liked my blog. It came at the perfect time because I really needed to keep myself distracted this week. Thank for you the compliment for my son, too. He is such a happy, loving boy. He has been bringing a lot of joy to everyone lately. I saw my sister yesterday. She's ready to get her treatment started and keep moving in the right direction. Thank you for asking!
